So not much going on these days... settling back into daily life...

Since my gym membership does zilch out here because we don't have 24 hour fitness Jenni got me a gym pass for the university facility ($125/yr ouch) so i could play ball... Went yesterday morning for 3 hours and played 6 pick up games, it was quite the awesome... a little sore today but i think i'm good to go again for tomorrow hehe...

as for the weather, it's getting a little colder and we got another dust of snow today... Here's some picks...

Other than that, nothing much going... going to go race RC cars for the first time since coming back from xmas... so hopefully the car is good and i don't ruin anymore tires

How crazy...

from not gaming for years to this crazy Wii craze... today we wanted remotes...

so we went to the K-mart... they were sold out...

went to Walmart... sold out...

went to Circuit City... Jenni got 1... but they wouldn't sell her a Nunchuk... weird...

there was a Gamestop in the same plaza and i got in line... 4th in line they were opening an hour later... lol...

wow i experienced the east coast chill, just long sleev T and a short sleeve T over it, it was FREEZING...

but we got in, bought another Wii for Jenni's parents or sister... got an extra controller set for it and another nunchuk, monkey ball, and wario smooth moves... and i got a used gamecube controller for other games hehe... sweet... the storm has passed and there is calm Wii playing... hehehe

Apparently a certain retailer ISN'T filled with morons haha...

After a phone call we found out a store had 6 of them in the store...

So the wife and i drop our dinners and rush there ASAP...

When we got to the store we got the same "i don't know, we don't have any", but upon telling the sales employee that we just called and were told they have 6 in stock, he asked his manager and had to sell us one because thats what good customer service is supposed to do hehe... if a store representative says they are selling them and have them, then they have to honor that... so yea... playing with it right now, its awesome hehe... and i think we got the sister and mother-in-law hooked too

yay.

in other news, i saw my first east coast snow today!!!! it was like 1" diameter flakes floating down from the sky onto a white blanket this morning!!!... alas its almost melted away already but i kinda like that... no road salt to deal with... in any case im going to try to put up a pic or two later hehe...

ANGRY-RANT

WTF is wrong with retail in America... Anyone try to get a Nintendo Wii lately? these friggin things are harder to find than bin-friggin-laden... so the wife has been calling around and looking on online tracking sites and calls me this afternoon to tell me she found one at circuit city,... in a city like 40 minutes away...

so i drive there... nay... speed there in like 20 minutes... breaking automotie violations like they were demerits and eating them for breakfast...

i run inside from the car and grab a sales person to ask if they had the Wii in stock.

first guy says no... so i go to the customer service guy...

he says no... so i tell him i called not 30 minutes ago and someone told me that they had one...

i'll look... he says...

sure enough a few minutes later he comes out with the box in-hand... SCORE!!!! right???

not quite... he tries to ring it up and apparently the corporation has it locked... its un-sellable...

so i'm like ... wtf-mate

the guy tells me that the corporate office has it locked so he can't sell it. at this point i'm pissed... sooooo what was that guy on the phone telling me that they had one in stock so i had to drive like a demon to get there... so i ask for the manager... and i get the same BS... apparently in America if they spend a few bucks printing a flyer then they have to hold onto the advertised product because god forbid they would advertise something they didnt have in stock (yea like im sure this never happens... right...) ... so they can lie to consumers to tell them to come into their store only to turn away money and refuse a sale because they have friggin flyers printed... serious WTF!!! they had TWO in stock apparently... and thats the number of units they have to have for sunday... seriously, like anyone would know if they sold me ONE of the two... or both for that matter, i've NEVER gone to a store for a "hot product" when they claimed to have X in stock to actually find it... hey're ALWAYS sold out, (surprise surprise) so the stupid manager lady wouldnt budge and would only refuse to sell... good job Circuit City... way to provide good service and sell products to your consumers... oh wait a minute, you did NONE of that and instead decided you didn't want to make any money today while paying morons for employees to mislead and piss off potential customers. bravo bravo...
